The ICOR Commitment to Member Success
The ICOR Commitment to Member Success
The Investment Community of the Rockies (ICOR) and Investors Network Community (INC) Mastermind Program share a passion for supporting members in reaching financial and personal goals. As such, they have come together to offer Masterminds to ICOR members. This time-honored and proven model allows members to apply their networking and education in a personal and practical way to fast forward investment success.
What is a Mastermind?
A Mastermind group is a small community of investors with similar interests and skill levels who serve as your own personal coaching team. Participants challenge each other to set and achieve goals, share ideas, and offer support with honesty, respect and compassion. Mastermind participants act as catalysts for growth, devil’s advocates and supportive colleagues.
While the concept has been around for millennia, the term 'Mastermind' was formally coined by Napoleon Hill in the early 1900s. In his timeless book,Think And Grow Rich, he famously said, "No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind."
In a Mastermind Group, each person’s participation is key. Your peers give you feedback, share expertise and knowledge, help you brainstorm new possibilities, provide personal support, and set up accountability structures
that keep you focused and on track. You will design your strategies based on your personal needs, not as you’ve been told they 'should' be. You'll gain tremendous insights, which can improve your business and personal life.
Masterminds have been recognized by top CEOs, entrepreneurs and investors throughout history as a best practice for reaching goals, with memberships ranging from $1,000 upwards to over $100,000. They ensure that they stay on top of industry trends, make good business decisions and hold themselves accountable to their commitments.
Why a Maximum of Seven Members?
In a true Mastermind, each person’s participation is key. While the term “Mastermind” has become popularized and is used to describe a wide array of educational forums and meetings, ICOR and INC believe in keeping the
group both affordable and at a size that allows every member to have their needs addressed at each gathering. When members have to wait for months between meetings, it is difficult to maintain momentum with commitments and actions.
A smaller group builds a strong community that honors confidentiality, which means you can feel safe in being vulnerable when called for. You are ensured time in every meeting for the group to focus on your strategies and challenges.
Why join if you’re already attending education and networking events?
Expanding contacts and learning new information is vital to your investing success. BUT, when you walk in the door, do you put it into action, and are your actions the best ones to accomplish your strategies?
In the ICOR/INC Mastermind, you’ll create your individual goals and plan, and your small and confidential group meets regularly to support you in seeing your plan through.
What is the role of the facilitator?
The facilitator is the glue that holds the group together. Their role is to facilitate the meetings in a way that respects attendees’ time, builds trust, guides discussions to ensure all members are heard, helps members set
powerful goals, and ensures accountability. They manage any problems that arise that could threaten the harmony of the group. In the ICOR/INC Mastermind, the facilitator ensures that ideas and commitments are
recorded for every member. It's a unique skill set different from teaching or mentoring.
In essence, Mastermind Groups create a win-win situation, fostering new friendships and personal growth. They take your growth to new heights in a much faster process than when you go it alone.
