ICOR is collaborating with our sister chapter, REIA of NYC, to develop a deal-finding, out-of-state investing, and fractional ownership mastermind where members of each organization get to discuss, share, and create opportunities for each other while facing similar challenges in our local markets. Troy Miller, ICOR Executive Director, and Dr. Teresa Martin, ESQ, Executive Director of REIA of NYC, facilitate a new mastermind forum to learn, grow, network, and invest as a bigger and better community, creating more opportunities to get your first or next deal under your belt!
Troy Miller has been in this industry indirectly all of his life, growing up with a father who was a general contractor and a mother who was a property manager. In 2007, Troy came to the real estate investing industry and started working for the National Real Estate Investors Association, continuing his career in meetings & education. His primary task began with helping REIA leaders around the country rethink how they offered information and content to participants with varied learning styles in their respective classrooms. Troy’s distinctive approach to learning, which he believes is the key for every investor to become a master or outlier, is encapsulated in his mantra: “LEARN-DO-TEACH.” 1. Learn the "skill" 2. Practice mastering the "skill" 3. In return, teach those around or below you for mastery. His greatest accomplishment is seeing members grow and succeed.
Dr. Teresa R. Martin, Esq., the Founder and Counsel at REIA NYC, is a distinguished attorney with a visionary mission. She empowers minority and underserved communities, especially women transitioning from traditional 9-5 jobs to entrepreneurship, on the path to financial independence through real estate investing.
