How are the dynamics of local markets affecting purchase price, after repair value, and potential rent costs?

Local experts will help us take a look back at the first quarter to see how the market performed and what to expect in the coming months. We will examine market indicators, learn about planning and development projects in the works, and hear how CDOT, jobs, and industry growth can affect the real estate market.

Market Expert Panel:

Tammy Fields: Chief Economic Development Officer, Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC

As the chief economic development officer, Fields said she’ll be drawing upon 23 years of experience in working with local companies, tracking projects, building partnerships throughout the city and the state, and understanding Colorado Springs’ evolution. “All of those experiences that I’ve had will play well into this new role,” she told the Business Journal. “I am excited about it.” Among her priorities, Fields highlighted Colorado Springs’ new economic development strategic plan, a partnership with national marketing firm DCI to promote the city nationwide, and the new business retention and expansion efforts led by Local Industry Programs Manager Yemi Mobolade.

Bill McAfee:  President, Empire Title

Bill serves as president of Colorado Springs most investor-centric title company and is an active real estate investor himself. You can catch bill each month as part of the "Rockies Real Estate Investing: The ICOR Podcast" Monthly Market Update Round Table. Bill has over 25 years working experience in the Real Estate industry and is an active educator on title insurance, agents, investors, and overall market statistics expert for Colorado Springs and surrounding cities and counties.
