The real estate industry has lost a stellar leader, Jean Yevick

The real estate industry has lost a stellar leader, a staunch advocate, and a great friend today with the untimely death of Jean Yevick.  It is with a sad heart that I regret to inform you of Jean’s passing on Sunday afternoon, shortly after 1 pm.

Jean started her real estate career more than 30 years ago buying property in the Pittsburgh area. She enjoyed a successful career employing many real estate strategies and operating a mortgage brokerage business.  In her early years Jean had a successful career in medical research which she left behind to pursue a dream of entrepreneurial success.  Her dream was achieved and she helped many others along the way.  Jean also served as the first president of RELA, the precursor to the National Real Estate Investors Association, and ran her own successful local REIA association in Western PA.

Jean will be best remembered for her dedication to the industry, her deep friendships, and her devotion to family. Her sudden passing cuts short a life that was devoted to our industry and her friends within it. Jean will be deeply missed by her many friends, members, and all who benefited from knowing her.

Visitation will be held at Slate Funeral Home in Brentwood, Pennsylvania.  Services will be held at 9:30 AM Thursday at St. Wendelin Church, Custe Ave , Carrick, Pennsylvania.  For more information please contact Jean’s sister Cathy Boyle at 514 Kirk Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15227.
